The first half ended without goals, as Yemeni goalkeeper Mohamed Aman excelled in thwarting dangerous attempts, notably the shots from Akram Afif, while Mahmoud Abu Nada saved Qatar's goal from Abdul Wasi' Al-Matari.
The Qatari team suffered an early blow with the injury of their player Issa Laie in the ninth minute, before the team returned to press for a goal after the break to earn the three points.
Mohamed Abdul Razak managed to crack the Yemeni defense and score Qatar's only goal in the 63rd minute, before Akram Afif missed a chance to double the lead from a penalty in the 72nd minute.
With this victory, the Qatari national team increased their points to 6 after their second win, while Yemen remained without points following their loss to the UAE, making their situation more challenging in the race for qualification to the semi-finals of Gulf Cup 27.
