The Iraqi and Moroccan ministries of the interior signed a memorandum of understanding for scientific and academic cooperation, aimed at enhancing the bilateral partnership in training, rehabilitation, exchange of expertise, and development of scientific and security capabilities.
The memorandum includes cooperation between the Higher Institute for Security and Administrative Development in Iraq and the Royal Police Institute in Morocco, contributing to the expansion of coordination and exchange of academic and specialized experiences related to security work.
The Iraqi delegation was headed by Lieutenant General Amer Saddam Saeed Al-Maliki, and included several officers and personnel from the Ministry of the Interior with diverse knowledge and security specialties.
The visit of the Iraqi delegation to the Kingdom of Morocco included the Higher Institute for Security Sciences in Ifrane, to learn about the Moroccan experience in security training and rehabilitation, as well as a visit to the General Directorate of National Security in the capital, Rabat, to get acquainted with the Moroccan security experience and enhance the exchange of expertise between specialized institutions.
This step comes within the framework of strengthening Iraqi-Moroccan relations and expanding institutional cooperation between the two countries, supporting the preparation of joint work programs and developing specialized and academic cooperation in the security fields.
