The Iraqi youth national team was able to achieve victory against its Kuwaiti counterpart with a clean 3-0 score on Friday, in the second round of Group B of the ongoing Gulf Cup for youth in Qatar.
The first half ended with the Iraqi team leading by one goal to none, and in the second half, Iraq added two more goals to finish the match in its favor with three goals to none against the Kuwaiti team.
The match started at 5:45 PM at Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium.
The Iraqi team had lost its first match against Yemen with a score of two goals to none, while the Kuwaiti team suffered a loss against Egypt with three goals to none.
The draw placed the Iraqi team in Group B alongside teams from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Yemen, and Egypt, while Group A included the host team Qatar, as well as the UAE, Oman, Bahrain, and China.
Qatar is hosting the tournament from October 16 to November 4, 2026, with the participation of 10 teams, marking the largest participation in the tournament's history.
