The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, Colonel Muhammad Ali Al-Hassoun, denied today, Monday, the reports about an explosion occurring in the Al-Sumayya area near Al-Rusafa in the capital, Baghdad.

Al-Hassoun said in a statement received by the News Video Agency that the incident was a fire outbreak at a power station accompanied by a loud sound.

He indicated that the fire resulted, according to initial information, in the death of one person and injuries to three others.
