The Iraqi Interior Ministry: A surge in communications from foreign visitors via 911 after the activation of international roaming.

The Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced today, Thursday, that the number of calls and inquiries received from foreign visitors via the unified emergency number (911) has doubled following the activation of international roaming service in multiple languages.
The Director of the Central Response and Control Directorate (911), Major General Raed Abdul Karim, told the News Video Agency that the directorate receives tens of thousands of calls daily from citizens via the unified number.
He explained that the number of calls and inquiries from foreign visitors has seen a significant increase, having doubled after the activation of the international roaming service last week, allowing them to communicate with the unified number in multiple languages.
Abdul Karim urged citizens to continue cooperating with security forces and to provide accurate information through the number (911), which contributes to speeding up the response to incidents and violations and enhancing security.
