Former US President Barack Obama confirmed on Saturday evening, while discussing the consequences of military aggression against Iran, that this war is the reason for rising prices in the United States.

The former US president criticized the military aggression against Iran during a campaign rally in Ohio. He stated in this regard: “(Trump) decided to launch an unnecessary war, a war that no one wanted and for which no one voted.” The former US president claimed: “Iran did not have a nuclear bomb, because I made an agreement that everyone acknowledged prevented it from obtaining nuclear weapons, and therefore I did not need to launch missiles.” Obama made this statement while Iran has repeatedly affirmed that it has not sought to build nuclear weapons, a fact also acknowledged by many international institutions. Referring to Trump’s withdrawal from the nuclear deal, Obama added: “He withdrew from the agreement and started this war. After seven months, after six months he declared victory, what happened in this war?” Regarding the consequences of military aggression against Iran, he said: “Our allies and bases were targeted, Americans were killed, hundreds were injured, our missile stockpile is running out, and Iran now has veto power in the Strait of Hormuz, the passage through which oil flows to the global market.” Barack Obama confirmed: “This is the reason for rising oil prices. No one doubts that. This is the reason for rising diesel prices. This is the reason for rising prices of almost everything.” It is noteworthy that during his presidency, Obama repeatedly referred to the “options on the table” and the possibility of resorting to military action regarding Iran. Many American politicians and experts have so far expressed their opposition to military aggression against Iran. They warned of rising prices in the United States if the conflict continues, citing the consequences of war. #Obama #Trump #War_on_Iran #Oil_Prices #Diesel
