The Military Intelligence Directorate announced today, Sunday, the overthrow of two terrorists in Anbar and Salah al-Din.

The directorate stated in a statement received by the news agency that "in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Defense, Naif Makif Al-Shammari, and the Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yar Allah, and under the follow-up and supervision of the Director of Military Intelligence, Lieutenant General Hassan Jawad Al-Silawe, and within the ongoing duties to pursue terrorist elements and dry up their sources, the military intelligence detachments in the intelligence and security sections of the 5th and 21st infantry divisions, based on accurate intelligence information, were able to arrest two terrorists wanted by the judiciary according to the provisions of Article (4/1) of the Anti-Terrorism Law during separate operations carried out through well-planned intelligence ambushes in the provinces of Anbar and Salah al-Din."
It added that "these operations come as part of the ongoing proactive intelligence efforts carried out by the directorate in various operational sectors to track down wanted individuals and eradicate what remains of terrorist elements."
It stated that "the two terrorists were handed over to the competent authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures against them."
