The prices of Iraqi and foreign gold slightly decreased today, Sunday, in the local markets of the capital Baghdad, while an increase was recorded in the markets of Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan region.
A correspondent for the news agency reported that the prices of gold in the wholesale markets on Al-Nahr Street in Baghdad recorded a selling price for one mithqal of Gulf, Turkish, and European gold of 21 carats at 944,000 dinars, while the buying price reached 940,000 dinars, compared to 946,000 dinars for sale yesterday, Saturday.
He added that the selling price of one mithqal of Iraqi gold of 21 carats reached 914,000 dinars, while the buying price recorded 910,000 dinars.
In jewelry stores, the selling price of one mithqal of Gulf gold of 21 carats ranged between 945,000 and 955,000 dinars, while the selling price of one mithqal of Iraqi gold ranged between 915,000 and 925,000 dinars.
In Erbil, gold prices recorded an increase, as the selling price of one gram of 22 carats reached about 1,003,000 dinars, while 21 carats was around 958,000 dinars, and 18 carats reached about 821,000 dinars.
