The province of Najaf Ashraf witnessed the arrival of thousands of mourners on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Lady Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her), the mother of her father, as described by the beloved Messenger (peace be upon him and his family). Mourners came from all regions of the country, with participation from communities of countries like the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including people from Al-Ahsa and Qatif, as well as from Yemen.

The flourishing of the blessed Fatimid revival and its victory, after fourteen centuries of attempts by the authority's jurists to subjugate people to the will of the sultan who calls himself the Commander of the Faithful, and to compel them to obey him as he is presumed to be the intended figure of authority in the noble verse [O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you] (An-Nisa: 59), prohibited them from revolting against them no matter how corrupt, immoral, or oppressive they became, even saying about Hussein (peace be upon him), the noble grandson of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family), that "he was killed by the sword of his grandfather" because he sought reform in governance and aimed to correct the deviation in the rulers' path. From the very first day of the nation's coup, Fatima (peace be upon her) stood forth to reveal the deviation, awaken the people from their negligence, and guide them to the rightful Imam.

Leadership is not claimed but is based on the merit and qualifications that Allah, Blessed and Exalted, desires. However, the distortion of truths that the authority's jurists practiced over the centuries has ingrained in the minds of their followers that whoever takes control over the necks of people, even by sword and coercion and military coups, is the shadow of Allah on earth and His vicegerent, and that Allah commands obedience to them, a notion that many still repeat. However, the peoples of the region today, in their revolution against their tyrannical rulers and their yearning for freedom, have rejected that distortion of facts propagated by the evil scholars, forcing some of them to flatter the people's movements and support them.

Continuing this confrontation, the great lady Fatima (peace be upon her) went to her father’s mosque (peace be upon him and his family) and delivered her speech to the Muslims, challenging them with compelling evidence. In commitment to this duty, Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) headed to Karbala, where he expressed his intention on several occasions, clarifying that he had only risen for the sake of reform, promoting good and forbidding evil, and correcting the deviation in the nation of his father, the Messenger of Love, Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family).
