Britain after the coalition's exit: Security cooperation with Iraq has entered a new phase.

The British Foreign Office confirmed today, Wednesday, its continued support for the security and stability of Iraq following the official completion of the international coalition's mission in the country.

The ministry stated in a statement reviewed by the "Video News Agency" that "security cooperation with Iraq enters a new phase after the successful conclusion of the coalition's mission."

The British Foreign Office noted the beginning of "a new chapter focused on sustainable security cooperation led by Iraq."

It added that "Iraqi security forces have strengthened security across the country," indicating that "Iraqi forces are qualified to take on primary responsibility on the ground."

This position comes in conjunction with the announcement by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister of Iraq, Ali Faleh Al-Zaydi, of the official conclusion of the international coalition's mission in the country, expressing his gratitude to the coalition countries for their support of the security forces in countering terrorism.
