The Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Qubad Talabani, described today, Thursday, the delay in forming the new government of the region as a "black mark" in the path of the democratic experiment, warning of a decline in the trust of partners and the international community in the possibility of resolving this entitlement.
Talabani stated in a press statement followed by the Video News Agency during his presence in the independent Raperin administration, that the time has come to move forward with forming the new government without further delay, pointing out that the region's friends in the international community have begun to lose hope in reaching an agreement that ends the state of paralysis.
He revealed that he met yesterday, Wednesday, with a senior official from one of the friendly countries, explaining that the main question raised by the official at the end of the meeting was about the reasons for the delay in forming the government.
Talabani added that this inquiry reflects the extent of the impact that the paralysis has begun to leave on the region's reputation and its democratic experiment before the international community.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of overcoming political differences and accelerating the steps to form the new ministerial cabinet, in a way that ensures meeting the citizens' aspirations and enabling the upcoming government to face the existing challenges.
