Basra, not Yemen.. An official clarification regarding the circumstances of Ahmed Al-Lami's martyrdom.

The Popular Mobilization Authority denied today, Friday, the news circulated by some media platforms regarding the martyrdom of one of its members outside Iraq.

The authority stated in a statement received by the Video News Agency that the reports circulated by some media platforms regarding the martyrdom of First Lieutenant Ahmed Awad Kazem Al-Lami, one of the members of Brigade 28 of the Popular Mobilization, in Yemen are misleading and false, confirming that Al-Lami was elevated after a traffic accident in Basra province while returning from performing his duty inside Iraq.

The authority expressed its condemnation of these allegations that violate the sanctity of martyrs and the feelings of their families and comrades, calling on the media outlets that published them to correct their information, exercise accuracy and credibility, and refrain from misleading public opinion and distorting the facts.
