The Chinese Foreign Ministry called on the United States today, Friday, to stop its interference in China's internal affairs and obstructing its development under the pretext of human rights.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, Geng Shuang, stated during a press conference that Washington continues to promote what it described as lies regarding the Xinjiang region, using the allegations of "forced labor" as a pretext to target Chinese companies and include several of them on U.S. blacklist.
Geng expressed China's strong discontent and firm opposition to this move, emphasizing that the claims of forced labor, as he described, are merely the "lie of the century" propagated by anti-China entities with the aim of destabilizing Xinjiang, tarnishing the country's image, and obstructing its development path.
The Chinese spokesman stressed that his country will take all necessary measures to defend the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies, warning against the continued targeting of these companies under political pretexts.
