The defense initiates an investigation into the suicide of a colonel inside his office in Taji.

The Ministry of Defense clarified today, Tuesday, the circumstances surrounding the suicide of Colonel Mushtaq Ali Ubeid Al-Bahadili, commander of the 63rd Brigade in the First Special Forces Division, inside his office at Camp Taji.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, Major General Yahya Rasool, stated in a statement received by the Video News Agency that legal and procedural measures were taken immediately after the incident, and the relevant authorities and forensics attended the scene and began procedures for examination, investigation, and evidence collection to ascertain the circumstances and reasons for the incident accurately.

He confirmed that the results of the investigations and technical procedures conducted by the relevant authorities will be announced as soon as the investigations are completed.
