This morning, Wednesday, the markets of the capital Baghdad witnessed a slight increase in the exchange rate of the US dollar against the Iraqi dinar, compared to the closing of yesterday's transactions on Tuesday, amid a state of anticipation and caution among traders.
In the main exchanges of Kifah and Harithiya, the selling price reached 157,350 dinars for every 100 dollars, compared to 157,050 dinars at the close of yesterday's transactions on Tuesday, marking a rise of only 300 dinars, which reflects a cautious trading environment.
This slight increase comes after a minor rise in the price recorded yesterday, which has again brought a sense of anticipation to the market, especially with the accelerated pace of price movements within a short period, prompting traders to exercise caution in anticipation of further fluctuations.
Meanwhile, in the parallel market (exchange offices), a similar slight increase occurred in line with the main exchanges, where the buying price from citizens was 157,350 dinars, and the selling price to them was 158,400 dinars for every 100 dollars, with the price gap remaining narrow without causing disruption to daily activity.
