Iraq and Egypt are discussing enhancing diplomatic cooperation and developing joint coordination.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Qahtan Taha Khalaf, discussed with the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt for Ceremonial Affairs, Ambassador Ihab Mustafa Yahya Suleiman, today Tuesday, ways to enhance joint cooperation and develop diplomatic relations between the two countries.
He mentioned in his remarks that "the meeting was held at the headquarters of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the New Administrative Capital, and discussed mechanisms for developing cooperation and coordination in the field of ceremonial and diplomatic protocol, and facilitating related procedures."
He added that "the two sides affirmed the importance of enhancing technical and administrative cooperation between the institutions concerned with ceremonial affairs in both countries, and exchanging experiences and practices that contribute to improving performance and ensuring the smooth operation in accordance with the established diplomatic norms."
He noted that both parties agreed to continue consultations and coordination and enhance institutional communication, in a way that supports cooperation relations between Iraq and Egypt and strengthens the bonds of bilateral relations between the two countries.
