The Baghdad Operations Command announced today, Tuesday, the implementation of a security campaign in the Shuala area and the Al-Jawadain neighborhoods, as well as the entrance to the Al-Khateeb agricultural area, in response to citizens' calls regarding harassment and gatherings of motorcycles and "tuktuks."
The command stated in a statement received by the Video News Agency that its security forces, affiliated with the Karakh Police Command and the second Federal Police Division, carried out the campaign, resulting in the arrest of several violators for engaging in immoral behaviors, including harassment in front of a school, as well as causing traffic congestion and disrupting movement.
It added that the campaign comes as part of efforts to curb negative phenomena that tarnish the reputation of Baghdad's society, alleviate citizens' suffering, and enhance security and order in the targeted areas.
