The Minister of Transport, Wahab Al-Husseini, called today, Tuesday, for the development of cross-border transport networks and the removal of obstacles to Arab economic integration, emphasizing Iraq's readiness to enhance cooperation with Arab countries in the transport sector.
Al-Husseini stated, in a speech during the 39th session of the Arab Transport Ministers Council in Alexandria, followed by the Video News Agency, that "developing cross-border transport networks is an important step to support Arab economic integration and facilitate trade movement between countries."
He added that "the General Company for Ground Transport is ready to provide technical support to our Palestinian brothers in the field of goods transport," reiterating Iraq's steadfast position in supporting the Palestinian cause.
The Minister of Transport called on Arab ministers and companies to participate in the International Transport and Airports Exhibition in Iraq, which will be hosted in Baghdad from November 25 to 27, 2026, with the aim of enhancing partnerships and exchanging expertise in the transport and logistics services sector.
