Qatar: Washington and Tehran are considering proposals to reach an agreement that ends the crisis and avoids escalation in the region.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed today, Tuesday, the continuation of mediation efforts and the narrowing of viewpoints between the United States and Iran, with the aim of reaching an agreement that ends the current crisis and spares the region the risks of escalation.
The ministry spokesperson stated that Washington and Tehran are examining the proposals put forward as part of efforts to create conditions for reaching an agreement, noting that both parties are showing commitment to the negotiation path.
He added that there is high coordination among the leaders of the region's countries to find a solution to the crisis and avoid the consequences of escalation, indicating that Doha is working closely with its regional partners and the international community to support efforts to end the crisis.
The spokesperson emphasized that freedom of navigation is a non-negotiable issue, rejecting any threats targeting Qatari tankers or others.
He confirmed that Qatari efforts focus on reaching an agreement that contributes to building confidence and establishing peace and stability in the region.
