Release of 12 employees from the Nasiriyah Municipality on bail in connection with corruption cases.

Twelve employees of the Nasiriyah Municipality were released today, Tuesday, on bail, after being detained over the past weeks on suspicions of financial corruption and administrative violations.
A knowledgeable source told the Vidyu news agency that "the Dhi Qar Court of Appeal decided to release 12 individuals from the detainees of the Nasiriyah Municipality on bail, after approving their bail requests."
He added that "the release came in accordance with legal procedures, with a travel ban imposed on those covered by the decision to prevent them from leaving the country, keeping them under investigation until the procedures are completed."
The source noted that the Integrity Commission arrested several municipal administration employees in recent weeks after opening files related to suspicions of financial corruption and administrative violations dating back to previous years.
