The people of Al-Sadiq are spreading on the ground near the Qurna 1 field and threatening to escalate oil protests due to the deteriorating services.

Residents of the Al-Sadiq district spread out on the ground and set up protest tents near the entrance of the Al-Qurna 1 field, in protest against the deterioration of public services and the delay in project implementation, demanding that the government and relevant authorities expedite the completion of stalled projects and respond to their demands.
The protesters confirmed that their movement comes to demand improvements in basic services and to put an end to the continuous delays in project execution, noting that they will continue their sit-in near the field's entrance until their demands are met.
Residents warned of the possibility of escalating their protests and moving them inside the oil fields if their demands continue to be ignored, urging the government to take urgent measures to address the crisis.
The protesters also called on Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaydi to visit the area to assess its service reality firsthand, listen to the residents’ demands, and find solutions for the stalled projects.
