The Duhok team was crowned champion of the first division basketball league for the 2025-2026 season on Saturday evening, after winning against Al-Namaniya in the final match held at the Duhok Sports Club hall.
Duhok achieved a significant victory over Al-Namaniya with a score of 93-42, a margin of 51 points, securing the championship title, while Al-Namaniya finished as the runner-up.
In the match for the third and fourth places, Al-Tadamun Najafi team defeated Asu with a score of 68-33, a margin of 35 points, to take third place, while Asu came in fourth.
Both Duhok and Al-Namaniya secured their spots in next season's professional league, regardless of the outcome of the final match, after reaching the final.
Al-Namaniya reached the final after defeating Asu with a score of 63-59, while Duhok beat Al-Tadamun with a score of 63-47 in the semifinal matches held yesterday, Friday, at the Duhok Sports Club hall.
