The Iraqi government announced today, Sunday, in a statement received by the News Video Agency, that the spokesperson for the Iraqi government, Haidar Al-Aboudi, stated that a government delegation headed by Prime Minister Ali Fadhil Al-Zaydi is on an official visit to France and Germany, aimed at enhancing bilateral relations and expanding economic and strategic partnerships.
Al-Aboudi noted in a statement that the European tour will begin in the French capital, Paris, where Al-Zaydi will hold discussions with French President Emmanuel Macron regarding bilateral relations and ways to elevate them to advanced levels.
He added that the visit to France will witness the signing of several memoranda of understanding in eight areas, including investment, energy, industry, trade, technology, education, culture, and infrastructure.
Al-Aboudi emphasized that the Prime Minister will move from Paris to the German capital, Berlin, to continue his discussions within the framework of the government's efforts to expand strategic partnerships for Iraq and enhance cooperation with European countries.
He confirmed that the tour aims to transform Iraq's international relations into practical projects, interests, and partnerships, contributing to the support of the national economy and advancing the pace of development.
