The Prime Minister Ali Falah Al-Zaydi is embarking today, Sunday, on a European tour at the head of a high-level delegation, including France and Germany, at the official invitation of the governments of both countries.
The media office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement received by the Video News Agency that this European tour comes as part of the government's efforts and approach to developing international relations and opening wider horizons for partnerships with both the French and German sides, especially in the sectors of energy, security, transport, and other vital areas.
During his foreign tour, Ali Falah Al-Zaydi will meet with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz to discuss a number of files and regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The Iraqi delegation will lead extensive discussions with the French and German sides to discuss ways to enhance economic partnerships in light of the current challenges facing the region and the world. The visit will also include the signing of several memoranda of understanding in the fields of energy, security, transport, education, and culture to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and enhance bilateral relations.
