The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, confirmed today, Sunday, the continuation of the path of resistance and the preservation of the trust of the martyrs, led by Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safi al-Din, and the commitment to continue the confrontation against the enemy to drive them out of the land and achieve complete liberation of the occupied territories.
In a speech delivered during the second anniversary commemoration of the martyrdom of Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Secretary-General Sayyed Hashem Safi al-Din, which was followed by the News Video Agency, Sheikh Naim Qassem stated that the gathering comes on the second anniversary of the ascension of the two secretaries general along with a group of fighters, martyrs, men, women, and children, indicating that this anniversary is blessed by the elevation of the martyrs' status and the continuity of the path that achieved resilience and persistence.
He added, addressing Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, that he has entered hearts, filled minds, and mapped the way to a dignified life, becoming a symbol and an inspiring leader for the free people of the world. He noted that Nasrallah left in body, but his teachings and light, which empower the resistance with determination, remain. He built a party, a resistance, and a stable and strong popular state, and this path will continue, pledging that Palestine will remain the compass and the priority for liberating the land.
Continuing to speak about Sayyed Hashem Safi al-Din, he stated that he never rested or grew weary in serving this path, being a strong support and assistant to the Master of Martyrs of the nation. He clarified that his steadfast steps will remain a landmark for the jihadist path of the resistance and fighters, also mentioning the martyrdom of four jihadist assistants in the battle of Awli Al-Bas.
Sheikh Qassem expressed condolences to the families of the martyrs and sent special greetings to the wounded of the regional conflict and the living martyrs who have provided a model for transitioning to action and resistance, in addition to greetings to the 3,400 martyrs and 14,600 wounded in the battle of Awli Al-Bas. He indicated that the phrase "Indeed, we are on our promise" signifies continuity, and that leadership that is martyred is replaced by leadership that continues on the previous path while adhering to constants, with the foundation being the courageous mission-oriented resistance, drawing attention to Qassem's response to opponents and questioning the role of the state regarding what they propose about the actions of the resistance.
