Reduction of tuition fees for children of social protection families

The Social Protection Authority in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced today, Monday, the issuance of instructions to reduce tuition fees for children of families benefiting from social protection for the academic year 2026–2027, in coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The head of the authority, Ahmad Al-Mousawi, stated in a statement received by the Video News Agency that the instructions include maintaining a 50% reduction in tuition fees for students continuing their studies within the government-supported university education channel for morning study, in addition to the reductions and exemptions granted to those included in social protection, according to the approved guidelines.

Al-Mousawi emphasized that these measures aim to support children of beneficiary families and alleviate the financial burdens associated with their university studies, contributing to the continuation of their educational journey and enhancing their opportunities to complete their studies.
