The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, received a joint delegation from the American-Kurdish and American-Syrian business councils today, Wednesday, to discuss enhancing bilateral relations and expanding trade and investment cooperation.
The regional government stated in a statement received by "Video News Agency" that David Tafuri, the chairman of the American-Kurdish business council, expressed, on behalf of the delegation, his happiness to visit the Kurdistan Region, outlining their objectives for their visit to Syria and the region.
The statement added that the meeting emphasized the mutual importance of strengthening relations between the Kurdistan Region and the United States, expanding the activities of American companies, and increasing the volume of American investments in the region.
For his part, Barzani confirmed the regional government's readiness to provide the necessary facilities for local and foreign investors, contributing to stimulating investment in various sectors and providing more job opportunities, in addition to discussing the latest developments in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the region.
