The local government of Anbar announced on Tuesday the signing of a memorandum of understanding and cooperation with the Turkish company group "Silan," aimed at enhancing economic and investment cooperation, during a visit by Anbar Governor Omar Mashhan Dobos, accompanied by the head of the provincial council and the head of the investment authority, to Turkey.
The spokesperson for the local government, Moyad Al-Dulaimi, stated in a statement to the news agency that the visit included discussions about opportunities for cooperation with Turkish companies and businessmen in various economic, production, and service sectors, as well as benefiting from Turkish expertise in infrastructure and tourism facilities.
He added that the talks addressed the second and third phases of the Anbar International Airport project, and the mechanisms for its completion and development to keep pace with international transport developments and air navigation, in addition to discussing ways to complete and develop the Al-Baghdadi tourism city and invest in it, benefiting from Turkish expertise in establishing and managing tourism facilities.
Al-Dulaimi indicated that the governor of Anbar invited Turkish companies to visit the province to learn about its qualifications, resources, and economic, human, and urban capacities, as well as the diversity of its investment opportunities, which contributes to creating an attractive investment environment and enhancing economic partnerships.
These discussions come as part of the local government's efforts to strengthen cooperation with foreign companies and attract investments to develop infrastructure, transport, and tourism projects in Anbar province.
