Al-Badri and Khalifi discuss enhancing security cooperation between Baghdad and Doha.

The head of the Iraqi National Security Agency, Basim Al-Badri, met on the sidelines of the Global Security Forum in the Qatari capital, Doha, with Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khalifi, Minister of State at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The National Security Agency stated in a statement received by "Video News Agency" that the meeting discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between Iraq and Qatar, and to develop security and intelligence cooperation and coordination between the concerned institutions in both countries, as well as exchanging views on the most significant regional developments and issues of common interest.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing consultations and strengthening channels of communication and security and diplomatic cooperation to face common challenges, and supporting efforts aimed at consolidating security and stability in the region.
