The intelligence agency announced today, Wednesday, the arrest of a criminal network whose members impersonated high-ranking security and judicial figures.
The agency stated in a statement received by the "News Video Agency" that "intelligence information was obtained indicating the presence of a criminal network that impersonates high-ranking state officials by contacting responsible individuals to complete cases that provide them with financial benefits."
It added that "under the supervision of the Undersecretary for Intelligence and Federal Investigations, a specialized technical intelligence team was formed, which worked on gathering, cross-referencing, and analyzing information. Through continuous monitoring and follow-up by the Hawks Intelligence Cell, these efforts resulted in the arrest of all members of the network, including the head of the network, the main suspect."
It continued that "their statements were recorded, and they openly confessed to impersonating important and high-ranking government figures and contacting various governmental, security, and ministry entities, as well as important officials to facilitate and complete various cases in exchange for large sums of money, and their statements were authenticated judicially."
