These increases in the parallel markets come alongside the decision to adjust the official exchange rate, which was made by the Central Bank of Iraq based on the Cabinet's decision, setting the selling price of the dollar to the public at 1,520 dinars and the selling price to banks at 1,510 dinars, while the buying price of the dollar from the Ministry of Finance was set at 1,500 dinars, effective from October 7, 2026.
