The Media and Communications Authority confirmed today, Wednesday, its continued monitoring of non-compliant media content and documentation of it, as well as taking regulatory measures against the violating entities, in accordance with the applicable regulations.
The authority stated in a statement received by the Video News Agency that the broadcasting rules, specifically in Chapter Two, Article (1), prohibit the broadcasting of any content that incites violence or hatred or disrupts public order, including incitement against security forces and civil institutions or calls to suspend their operations.
The authority continues, through its media monitoring system, to follow up on media content, document violations, and take necessary regulatory measures against the violating media entities based on the approved regulations.
The authority's role in judicial aspects is limited to the powers legally assigned to it, through monitoring non-compliant content, documenting it, and taking the actions stipulated in the applicable regulations.
