Former MP Amir Al-Ma'mouri confirmed today, Saturday, that the financial losses incurred by the Iraqi state due to certificate forgery could reach trillions of dinars, noting that these practices have harmed government institutions and affected the future of generations.
Al-Ma'mouri stated in a post monitored by the "Video News Agency" that the number of certificate forgers, according to his estimates, is double that of terrorists who have received pension salaries, which number about 35,000 individuals, explaining that the amounts paid to them have reached 1 trillion and 80 billion dinars.
He added that work is ongoing in coordination with the relevant government and regulatory authorities to follow up on this file, emphasizing that the expected results will reveal, in his words, shocking figures and the extent of the losses caused by certificate forgery and the consequent salaries and allowances that were illegally disbursed.
