The Ministry of Agriculture announced today, Saturday, the approval of the Prime Minister, Faleh Al-Zaydi, for the approval of the winter agricultural plan.
The ministry stated in a statement received by "Video News Agency" that "as part of the extraordinary efforts made by the Ministry of Agriculture in implementation of the directives of Minister Abdul Rahim Jassim Al-Shammari, and the qualitative achievements that have not been seen in previous periods, the most prominent of which is obtaining the approval of the Prime Minister for the winter agricultural plan, allocating amounts for financial dues, implementing free veterinary campaigns, and launching preventive campaigns in orchards and farms, including combating weeds, dubas, hamira, and palm weevil in various governorates, as well as laboratories obtaining international certifications for the first time and opening up to the agriculturally developed world and signing agreements and memoranda of understanding."
It confirmed, "its commitment to continue these campaigns and enhance achievements, support the agricultural sector in both its plant and animal aspects, and continue campaigns targeting agricultural pests, especially in orchards, and will spare no effort in this regard."
It also pointed out that "its doors are open to farmers and cultivators through regular direct interviews conducted by the minister, and the necessity of obtaining information from its approved sources."
