7 directives from the Minister of Health regarding Al-Za’faraniya Hospital

Health Minister Abdul Hussain Al-Moussawi directed, today Sunday, a package of urgent measures to improve the health situation at Al-Zafraniya Hospital.

A statement from the Ministry of Health, which "Video News Agency" reviewed, indicated that "after his surprise field visit to Al-Zafraniya Hospital late last night and his observation of the health and service reality in the hospital; and meeting with a large number of citizens and community leaders, Health Minister Abdul Hussain Al-Moussawi instructed to take a series of urgent measures, the most important of which are:

* Including Al-Zafraniya Hospital in the second phase of the Prime Minister's initiative to rehabilitate several hospitals and key health institutions.
* Sending a ministerial team from the General Company for Import and Marketing of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Supplies (KIMADIA) to follow up on the hospital's needs for medications and ensure their availability.
* Immediate provision of necessary medications and medical supplies to the hospital.
* Supplying the hospital with human resources from various specialties, in line with the actual needs.
* Securing laboratory supplies to ensure continuity of testing and diagnostic services.
* Receiving citizens' complaints and observations, and assigning the Inspection Department to follow up cases related to medical errors and take appropriate actions regarding them if proven.
* Dropping all public and personal lawsuits filed by the management of Al-Zafraniya Hospital and several of its staff against some social media page owners.
