The number of foreigners deported from Russia during the first nine months of 2026 rose to 63,500, an increase of one and a half times compared to the same period in 2025, according to data from the Russian Federal Bailiffs Service.
The head of the agency, Dmitry Aristov, stated in an interview with the TASS agency that the deportations included foreign nationals and stateless persons, noting that the recorded number reflects a significant increase in the deportation procedures for violators.
In Moscow alone, around 16,000 foreigners were deported in the first half of this year, accounting for 36% of the total deportations in the country, due to violations of entry and residence rules.
According to the data, Russia deported about 64,000 foreigners during 2025, compared to 87,000 in 2024, and 44,000 in 2023, while the total number of deportees between 2017 and 2023 reached about 200,000.
