Iraqi Ambassador to Lebanon, Mohammed Redha Al-Husseini, discussed today, Wednesday, with Lebanese Minister of Energy and Water Joseph Sida, the prospects of bilateral relations and ways to expand cooperation and partnership in the energy sector.
The Iraqi embassy stated in a statement that the meeting took place at the Ministry of Energy and Water headquarters in the capital, Beirut, and included discussions on the files addressed during the Lebanese minister's recent visit to Baghdad, as well as opportunities to open wider areas for cooperation and strengthen joint work between the two countries.
The statement added that Sida expressed Lebanon's pride in the fraternal relations with Iraq, appreciating the support provided by the Iraqi government and people to his country.
For his part, Al-Husseini affirmed Iraq's welcome for enhancing cooperation and elevating bilateral relations in various fields, indicating Baghdad's interest in strengthening coordination between the relevant authorities to open broader prospects for cooperation and achieve the interests of both peoples.
