The Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq announced today, Wednesday, the deposit of funding for the salaries of October for the region's employees, with an amount exceeding 834 billion dinars in its bank account.
The ministry stated in a statement followed by the Video News Agency that "an amount of (834,920,000,000) dinars has been deposited as funding for the salaries of October for the employees of the Kurdistan Region in the bank account of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs of the regional government."
It added that the federal Ministry of Finance deducted an amount of 120 billion dinars, the share of the federal treasury from the region's non-oil revenues for the same month, in addition to the deduction of 4 billion, 476 million, and 540 thousand dinars, representing the entitlements of civilian and military retirees' salaries for previous months.
The ministry clarified that the deposit of funds took place at the end of official working hours, which necessitates completing the procedures for its receipt at the Erbil branch of the Central Bank of Iraq on Thursday during official working hours.
It indicated that the schedule for receiving the salaries of employees in the ministries will be published on Wednesday, noting that the procedures for transferring funds to the employees' accounts via the electronic clearing system at the Central Bank of Iraq require a full working day and cannot be carried out during official holidays.
