The President of the Republic, Masoud Bezhakian, confirmed that we should not limit ourselves in the field of solar panel usage to being mere consumers of technology; rather, we can transform in the long run into a leading country in the clean and renewable energy production chains, gradually reducing our reliance on fossil fuels.
During a meeting to discuss the issues and challenges faced by industrialists and producers, and as reported by the news agency video, President Bezhakian stated that we must aim to raise productivity levels and production volumes by reforming consumption patterns, and allocating fuel quotas to production units based on their actual performance. If production units require larger quotas, we can leverage the energies of active diplomacy and existing connections with neighboring countries to meet the existing needs. The President emphasized that creating a specialized system in the field of manufacturing and producing solar panels is a fundamental necessity, adding: "In collaboration with universities and utilizing the capabilities of elites, we aim to establish a system that aims to localize the production of solar panels and the necessary equipment for utilizing clean and renewable energy in the country." The President reiterated that "we should not limit ourselves in the field of solar panel usage to being mere consumers of technology; we can long-term transition into a leading country in clean and renewable energy production chains, gradually reducing our reliance on fossil fuels. Accordingly, universities should be directed to align and adapt their sciences and scientific capabilities with the requirements and needs of this environment."
