Member of Parliament Jassim Al-Moussawi revealed today, Thursday, the existence of a wide parliamentary insistence to finalize the voting on the federal budget law, confirming that the decision to extend the legislative term was aimed at providing sufficient time to complete this entitlement.
Al-Moussawi stated in a statement followed by the Video News Agency that the current stage requires accelerating the passage of the budget law, given the connection of many entitlements and vital files to its approval, pointing out that the delay in voting has caused the obstruction of several developmental and service projects.
He added that the Parliament decided to extend its legislative session to utilize the available time and complete voting on the items and clauses of the budget, noting that its approval is an urgent necessity to complete development projects and stimulate investment.
Al-Moussawi confirmed that passing the budget has become a fundamental demand in light of the repercussions of the delay on public and private interests, and the economic damage that has affected citizens, calling for resolving the file and proceeding with the approval of the law.
