The central bank reassures the depositors of Al-Taif Bank.

The Central Bank of Iraq confirmed today, Tuesday, that the rights of depositors at Al-Tayef Islamic Bank are fully protected, noting that the imposition of guardianship is a regulatory and preventive measure aimed at protecting depositors' funds and ensuring the stability of banking operations.

The bank stated in a statement received by the Video News Agency that it is working in coordination with the appointed guardian to take the necessary measures to enhance the bank's liquidity, organize withdrawal operations, and gradually meet its obligations, prioritizing the salaries of employees deposited at the bank.

The Central Bank reassured depositors that the measures taken are designed to protect their rights and enhance confidence in the banking sector, urging the media and the public to rely solely on the statements and information issued through its official channels and to avoid circulating unverified news.
