The media and communications allow Korek users until the end of September to secure their digital accounts before shutting down the exchanges.

The Media and Communications Authority renewed, today Sunday, its call for users of Korek Telecom SIM cards to expedite the completion of precautionary measures to secure their digital accounts by the end of this month, September.

The authority stated in a statement received by Video News Agency that after the specified deadline, it will proceed to shut down Korek Telecom's exchanges in the capital Baghdad and other provinces sequentially as part of regulatory and legal procedures, which will lead to the suspension of services associated with them.

The authority urged the company's subscribers to link their accounts and digital applications to other numbers belonging to licensed companies, Asiacell or Zain Iraq, or to activate email and alternative authentication applications, affirming that these measures are intended to give users ample time to secure access to their services while legal procedures continue, preserving the rights of the state and citizens.
