Mr. Al-Hakim and Al-Maliki reaffirm their support for the paths to restrict weaponry to the hands of the state.

The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, and the head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, renewed their support today, Sunday, for the pathways to restrict arms to the state through understanding and dialogue.

The media office of Mr. Hakim stated in a statement received by the News Video Agency that "the head of the National State Forces Alliance, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, received the head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, where the upcoming entitlements were discussed during the meeting."

The statement added, "Both sides renewed their support for pathways to restrict arms to the state through understanding and dialogue, praising the role of the factions in defending Iraq and confronting terrorism."

It continued, "Mr. Hakim also renewed his support for the anti-corruption campaign," calling for "continuation and targeting major files and recovering public funds, emphasizing the necessity of adopting automation in the government to block the path for embezzlers of public funds."

The statement noted that "the importance of the cohesion and unity of the coordination framework was confirmed during the meeting."

Mr. Hakim praised the "efforts made to maintain stability and contribute to national decision-making," while both sides called for "completing the government cabinet and choosing figures characterized by competence, integrity, and good management."
