An ambulance driver in Egypt faced a harsh shock after rushing to save victims of a three-car collision, only to find that the victims were his son and his nephew, who had died from their injuries.
The accident occurred on the Cairo-Alexandria agricultural road in the Toukh district of Qalyubia province due to the collision of three vehicles, including a loaded truck and two private cars, which resulted in the death of two young men from the village of Qarfashenda.
The security forces in Qalyubia received a report of the accident near the village of Dandna in Toukh, and immediately the security forces and relevant agencies rushed to the scene. Upon inspection, it was determined that a loaded truck had collided with two private cars, leading to the truck overturning.
The accident resulted in the death of two young men, one named "Mohamed H. G." and the other "Mohamed N," his cousin, both residing in the village of Qarfashenda affiliated with the city of Toukh. They were transported to Benha Educational Hospital under the authority of the public prosecutor.
The moments of dealing with the accident turned into a shocking and painful scene for the ambulance driver, who was performing his duty at the collision site to rescue the injured and handle the accident, before being stunned to find out that one victim was his son and the other was his nephew.
Necessary procedures were taken regarding the deceased, while the competent authorities are working on clearing the accident site and facilitating traffic on the road. An official report of the incident was filed, and the prosecutor's office was notified to investigate.
