The leader of the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement, Mr. Abdul-Malik Badreddin al-Houthi, affirmed today, Thursday, the steadfastness of the Yemeni people in their position and their liberation movement, free from the control of the arrogant tyrants, directing greetings of honor, respect, and appreciation to all the patient families of the martyrs.
In a speech on the occasion of Martyr's Day, followed by the Video News Agency, Mr. al-Houthi stated that the people commemorate the annual remembrance of the martyr as a cherished occasion that has gained its greatness from the sanctity that God has bestowed upon martyrdom in His cause. He pointed out that the commemoration takes place in light of the sacrifices of the martyrs and the protection of the banner of jihad and resisting the aggression of the arrogant tyrants who unjustly attack.
He added that establishing the Qur'anic concept of martyrdom aims to break the chains of fear and the shackles that tyrants attempt to bind the nation with to facilitate control over it and subjugate it. He emphasized that martyrs are inspiring examples in their contributions, ethics, values, and patience in facing tyranny and domination.
He continued that striving in the way of God grants the nation liberation from the control of the arrogant and criminals and earns it divine support and strength, clarifying that the alternative to jihad is submission and subjugation, vowing to cling to all means of victory and empowerment to confront any aggression targeting the nation, its lands, and its resources.
