The Kurdish Democratic Party: The position of Minister of Migration will not go outside the Christian component.

A member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Wafa Mohammed Karim, revealed details of the recent political agreement regarding the position of Minister of Immigration and Displacement, confirming that the ministry will be allocated to the Christian component.
Karim stated in an interview with the news agency that political understandings are leaning towards granting the position to the Suwaina bloc and appointing an independent Christian figure, indicating that the bloc holds three seats out of five Christian seats in the House of Representatives.
He added that the Kurdistan Democratic Party supports the Suwaina bloc's nomination for the position, pointing out that the Christian component deserves to hold this ministry.
He clarified that nominations were submitted by the Babylon bloc with names that were said to be independent, before it became clear that they were linked to the bloc, leading to the cancellation of their nomination, noting that the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan does not have a candidate for the position but supports the candidates of its ally, the Babylon bloc.
