Oil Minister Basem Al-Abadi confirmed today, Friday, that work is ongoing 24 hours a day to secure all citizens' needs for petroleum derivatives across the country.

Al-Abadi stated in a press interview reviewed by the News Video Agency that the temporary shortage of gasoline is currently being addressed, indicating that additional shipments of gasoline will arrive soon to bolster local supplies.

He explained that the normal consumption rate for gasoline is about 33 million liters per day, noting that it rises to around 38 million liters per day during periods of public concern.

The Oil Minister emphasized the achievement of important steps in developing the oil sector during the first hundred days of the government's tenure, pointing out that crude oil exports were around 250 thousand barrels per day at the time the government was commissioned, while current crude oil production has exceeded 3 million barrels per day.

Al-Abadi affirmed that the new economic model adopted for the refining and distribution sectors does not affect employees' entitlements in any way.
