American aggression targets three Iranian oil tankers.

The U.S. Central Command announced today, Saturday, that its forces targeted three Iranian oil tankers in the Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, following the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps firing ballistic missiles at two U.S. warships.

The U.S. Central Command stated in a statement reviewed by the news agency that its forces struck three Iranian crude oil carriers on September 5, after an aircraft carrier and a guided-missile destroyer successfully defended against Iranian attacks with no injuries among U.S. personnel.

The U.S. forces disabled the oil tankers M/T Downy off the coast of Kharg Island and M/T Stark 1 near Jask, and fully destroyed the unladen oil tanker M/T Kylo in the Gulf of Oman after its crew was directed to abandon it.

The command indicated that the three tankers are part of a network funding the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, while Central Command leader Brad Cooper confirmed the continued defense of U.S. forces and the imposition of high economic costs in response to any targeting of its ships.
