The arrest of a blackmailer who slandered a girl in Al-Rusafa.

The anti-cybercrime units of the Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency have arrested a suspect today, Saturday, who engaged in extortion and defamation against a girl in the Rashida area of Baghdad during a rapid intelligence operation.

The agency stated in a statement received by the news agency that the operation came after receiving a report from the girl indicating that she was subjected to pressure and extortion from the suspect in exchange for a monetary payment. It explained that after obtaining the necessary judicial approvals, a well-planned ambush was set up, resulting in his arrest in the act.

The agency noted that the suspect was referred to the competent judicial authorities after recording his statements and confessions to receive his just punishment, reiterating its calls for citizens to report immediately when faced with such cases to ensure quick access to the perpetrators and pursue them legally.
