The foreign ministers of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, and Egypt condemned in the strongest terms, on Sunday, the statements made by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, and Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz regarding the expulsion of the Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip, and the plans and mechanisms aimed at forcibly removing Palestinians from their land.
The foreign ministers of the eight countries stated in a joint statement reviewed by "Video News Agency," that "these statements and incitatory proposals represent a blatant violation of international law principles, including international humanitarian law, and a direct threat to the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people."
They also emphasized in the statement their "outright rejection and condemnation of any attempts or schemes aimed at the displacement of the Palestinian people, whether within the occupied Palestinian territory or beyond, under any name or pretext, warning of the serious consequences of converting calls for forced displacement into announced policies or practical measures aimed at uprooting Palestinians from their land."
The ministers added: "Such measures represent a direct challenge to international efforts to achieve peace, foremost among them President Donald Trump's comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza, which includes a clear rejection of forced displacement, and entails serious risks that could undermine opportunities for stability in the region."
They stressed that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territory, emphasizing the need to preserve the unity of the Palestinian land in Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, affirming that the only way to achieve a just and lasting peace is through the implementation of the two-state solution, establishing an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
The foreign ministers called on the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to assume its responsibilities and firmly confront any attempts to impose a new demographic or geographic reality in the occupied Palestinian territory, and to ensure respect for the rules of international law, reiterating their full support for the resilience of the Palestinian people on their land, and their rejection of all attempts aimed at erasing the Palestinian cause or undermining the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
